Calls intensify for Egypt to open the Rafah crossing unconditionally, ignoring the complex circumstances that govern national decision-making. Yet, Egypt—despite its deep-rooted support for the Palestinian cause—chooses a path of calculated wisdom rather than impulsive heroism.

Egypt's Position Is Not Selfish—It Is Responsible

Unlike many nations that speak loudly yet act selectively, Egypt continues to provide humanitarian and political support to Palestine through secure and coordinated mechanisms. Egypt is not driven by media hype or popularity contests, but by national responsibility and real impact.

Why the Border Is Sometimes Closed

The Rafah border is not just a gate; it's a strategic and security-sensitive point. In times of military escalation or instability in Gaza, temporary closure becomes necessary—not as punishment, but to protect both the Egyptian people and to avoid turning Egypt into an open corridor for infiltration, chaos, or regional manipulation.

Those Who Accuse Egypt Forget History

Egypt has sacrificed more for Palestine than many dare to acknowledge. Wars, martyrs, diplomacy, and continued pressure for Palestinian rights have all come with a heavy cost. And even in the most difficult times, Egypt never abandoned its historical role.

The Smart Support Model

Egypt believes in smart support—support that protects Palestinian civilians without exposing Egyptian territory to regional gambling. It's the support of logistics, diplomacy, and sustainable pressure, not reckless slogans.
